Our Adult Introduction to Sailing program is the perfect starting point for anyone 18 or older who wants to learn the fundamentals of sailing in a safe, supportive, and fun environment.

Program Overview
Our refreshed Introduction to Sailing course is delivered over two consecutive days:
Day 1:

- Classroom instruction (2 hours) covering sailing basics and safety (Start 0900)
- Lunch break (bring your own lunch, refrigerator is available)
- Afternoon on-the-water sailing sessions using keelboats and centerboard boats
- Small group format—typically two students per boat for maximum hands-on experience
Day 2:

- Meet at the LCYC Super Dock (Start at Noon)
- More on-the-water practice with a variety of boats
- End-of-day debrief and Q&A at the clubhouse

Registration Details
- Age Requirement: 18+
- Required Book: US Sailing “Learn Sailing Right – Beginning Sailing” and is included and available when you check in on Saturday.
- Cost: The course cost is $30. Cash, Check or Club Charge (members) due at check in to offset the cost of Books and Materials.
