SEW-MAD is a women’s only regatta and is the season finale for the Women’s Sailing Program. The regatta was started in 1991 by Sandra E Walker (SEW) & Ruth Madorski (MAD). One of our largest regattas occurred in 2018 – with 19 boats entered and 48 competitors. The regatta really brings out the competitive spirit in all of the racers and everyone has a great time navigating their way around the course. This year we will not have our traditional post-race dinner in the clubhouse, but all competitors will receive a complimentary engraved champagne flute to toast the day’s racers. Racing experience is not required to participate in the regatta, just the desire to have fun and meet some incredibly talented women racers.
The date for the 2020 SEW-MAD Regatta is Saturday, September 26th. This year’s regatta will be limited to board boats and keelboats under 20′ in length. Cost is $5 per sailor, or $10 per boat for boats sailed by 2 or more people.
